Perla A. Tzintzun-Garibay has worked in public accounting for over 15 years. Prior to joining Butterfield and Co. Inc., she was a Manager at a locally based accounting firm. Her experience includes small business consulting, local government accounting, compliance, tax as well as assurance services related to local governments, non-profit organizations, agricultural and service industries.

She keeps apprised of industry developments through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), the American Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (AIPB), National Notary Association(NNA) and through attendance of various continuing education courses offered by the AICPA, CSCPA and AIPB annually.

Perla is also a Certified Bookkeeper, QuickBooks Expert and Notary Public.

Perla received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Humphreys College and is currently in the process of obtaining her license as a Certified Public Accountant.

Perla enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid sports fan and the ultimate soccer mom. Perla currently serves on the Board of a local non-profit youth sports organization.
